You Are More Capable Than You Know. I Already See It.
I'm Janay Rasor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and certified Perinatal Mental Health provider in Brookfield, WI.
I feel honored to be the support people turn to when life gets hard. I built this practice to help them not just survive, but thrive. True Worth Therapist offers an accepting and honest space for people to grow into the life they are truly worthy of.
"Your true worth starts with being seen and heard.
That is exactly what this space is for."
What True Worth Really Means
True Worth is not just a name. It is a belief that every person already has more than they know to live a full, confident, genuinely satisfying life. Worth should never depend on how well you handle the hard things or how good your life "looks" to others.
Long before I had a license, I was the trusted confidant people called when life got hard. I have always believed in the power of having someone genuinely in your corner. Someone who sees you and celebrates you without judgment while still telling it to you straight. I built this practice to be exactly that.
I understand what it feels like to move through the world holding everything together while quietly wondering if you are enough. This work is personal to me. The shift from proving your worth to celebrating it is one of the most transformative things a person can experience. It allows genuine freedom to embrace and express yourself.
The journey to parenthood is one of the most profound challenges to our sense of worth. Becoming a parent transforms your priorities, your identity, your relationships, and your sense of self. There actually is a word for this specific experience: matrescence. It is real, it is significant, and it is one of the most overlooked transitions in modern culture. I am passionate about making sure no one has to figure that out alone.
"Come as you are. Leave celebrating it."
What It Is Like to Work With Me
From the moment you walk through the door, the goal is simple. You should feel like you can breathe. The space at True Worth is warm, quiet, and nothing like what most people picture when they think of a therapist's office.
Sessions are built entirely around you. I draw from a rich toolkit including CBT, DBT, ACT, IPT, narrative therapy, attachment-based work, mindfulness, and Gottman-informed practices and build something completely personalized for every person I work with. No protocols. No boxes. Just an honest, collaborative partnership focused on your needs and growth.
Whether you are sitting across from me in Brookfield or logging on from wherever life has you, the experience is the same. You show up as you are. We work from your strengths. And we celebrate your worth together.

"You deserve specialized support, because your experience is worthy of being understood."

This Space Was Built for You
Specialized support for those:
-
Navigating fertility treatments, pregnancy loss, postpartum, or the identity shift of becoming a parent.
-
High-achievers who give everything to everyone and are quietly running out of steam.
-
Struggling with perfectionism, self-esteem, or the persistent worry that no matter what you do, it is never quite enough.

Ready to stop figuring it all out alone.
If any of that sounds like you, I am so glad you are here. People who do this work leave feeling something they did not know they were allowed to feel. What the PMH-C Means for You
The Perinatal Mental Health Certification is an advanced credential issued by Postpartum Support International, the leading global organization in perinatal mental health care. It requires specialized clinical training that goes significantly beyond a standard therapy license, training designed specifically for the fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood journey.
For you it means your therapist understands the specific emotional, relational, and identity dimensions of the perinatal experience. She knows what this season actually asks of you. And she has been trained to support you through it.
Fewer than 8,200 providers worldwide hold this certification.
Thankfully, you just found one.
